The Owlchemists are a special group, dedicated to changing the world we live in, from within the Bardolands.
Through a use of ancient symbols, a working knowledge of the earth, and an archetypal understanding of the four directions, these mystics work their magic from the In-between.
Shortly after purchasing your Owlchemist, you will receive an email asking about color preference, symbols, and messages, in order to help customize the final piece. Below you will find examples of previous Owlchemist.
Finished totems are approximately 3.5 inches tall, not including staffs. Each piece is made from resin and painted with acrylics.

Alvars the Joyful Alvars the Joyful is known for his use of song and dance as a means of transformation and healing. Like the feather he carries, which is made of thousands of tiny barbs that interlock in order to allow for lift and flight, Alvars reminds us that true joy is found in the complete circle of community. Tangu the Fierce
So named for his focus and attention to detail when it comes to the blades he forges with deft precision. Each piece he crafts comes form a set of elemental materials, dug from the earth and transformed in the sacred fires that have been kept continually burning for millennia. Tangu carries the symbol of water, a reminder to temper the masculine with the feminine and vise versa. SOLD |
Moses the Stout-Hearted
Stout-Hearted... but not what you think. You see, Mosses the "Stout-Hearted" is a fan of a good, dark stout, lively conversation, and story or two shared amongst friends. He knows not all matters of transformation need be earnest, or serious. No, a pint with a good friend can at times put it all back into perspective and remind us to enjoy the ride while we can. "And that," says Moses, "is worth raising another one to!" Moses carries a staff with an antler lashed to the top simple because he thinks it looks bad-ass. SOLD |
Baro Kindbud Baro Kindbud has a way of pulling you in with her shepard's crook and making everything alright. A tender of both the green nation and the hearts of mankind, she teaches us how the meaning of life can be found in the act of nurturing life itself. She reminds weary wanders that being lost is an impossibility if you practicing living the true of your heart. SOLD |
Jabir the Wise Said to be the oldest of the owlchemist, Jabir the Wise commands authority not through force, but truth alone. He, like those who follow his teachings, know how not to argue with reality and in so doing, have learned to make the impossible, possible. Jabir brings forth the divine in all things as indicated by the crown he carries. His staff, symbolizing the for directions, is a the formula by which his work is carried out. He knows that all things have meaning in the Bardolands and calls us to be patient with ourselves. SOLD |
Melchior the Diviner As the title implies, Melchior is both an owlchemist and a practitioner of divination. Melchior has dedicated his life to the relationship that exist between questions and answers. The space between the two, he calls, "The Key." He is sought out by seekers everywhere and stands with staff in hand, a grounded reminder that the uncomfortable space of the Key is worth visiting so that we may in due time, unlock the secrets of our hearts and world. Boyang the Initiator Fire. It is a source of light and warmth. It has the power to create, and destroy. Boyang reminds us that if we don't learn to tend the flame in a good way, we are likely to burn the village down. People call upon Boyang when they wish to be introduced to the knowledge and gifts of their inner fires. In spite of his seeming indifference toward people, Boyand the Initiator is all heart. Fun Fact: Boyang is said to be responsible for inventing the Zippo lighter (named for his mother) but he will neither confirm nor deny this rumor. SOLD |
Mania Cleancut In spite of the skull and scythe, Mania is not all doom and gloom. In fact, her soul purpose is to point out to others when they are dragging things out far beyond what is necessary. "Cut it clean!" is her cry for she knows that being gentle isn't always the most loving thing one can do. SOLD |
Tycho the Noble A gifted reader of the stars and planetary movement, Tycho teaches us that we can keep both our nose to the grind and our head in the stars. "This is the most noble use of ones time on earth." he's said. Scholars of Tycho state, that by this, he means one must pursue their dreams with great effort so they might one day know the true meaning of Heaven. The exact meaning of staff and crystal carried by Tycho are unclear. But again, scholars believe it speaks to Tycho's endless pursuit toward living his dreams. SOLD |
Zosimos the Mystic With a lightening staff and clown skull in hand, much can be said about Zosimos but little is actually known. In fact, it's even unclear whether or not Zosimos is male or female. Many believe, both. One thing is certain however, the striped hood worn by Zosimos indicates the he, or she, is a member of the Akoyeh, a band of trickster figures responsible for the very existence of the Bardolands. Zosimos reminds us that things in the Bardolands are never as simple as they may appear. Never. SOLD |
